One thing that makes me viscerally angry when reading about how people approach supplementation In the online space
Is that everyone just assumes because its pretty simple to be able to ‘take’ a supplement.
That it must also mean theres no underlying frameworks or secret methods that can actually make a difference between a result and getting nothing from them...
Im here to tell you that there is.
Its called timing and understanding the how and why of what your taking.
If you follow me on x.
You might have seen this post from yesterday.
This kind of thinking, wasn’t pulled from thin air.
It came from years of trial and error working with clients who wanted to improve their cholesterol…
And the most interesting part was I didn’t invent it (as much as i would love to take credit for the intelligence)
I stole it from pharmacology.
“Pharmacology is the study of how molecules, such as medicines, interact with the body.”
More specifically, I stole it from how pharmaceutical researchers think about chronopharmacology
Which to remove ambiguity is how the timing of a drug (or supplement) can influence its effect because the biology that it acts on is changing throughout the day, aligned with the circadian rhythm.
The reason im giving you this information is because this concept completely changed my line of thinking, and as a result it helped my clients get better results.
And even now I no longer think about supplements as isolated capsules, but as molecules entering a biological system.
Here’s even a meta question that i ask myself when im designing supplementation/peptide protocols for my 1-1 clients…
“What biological effect am I trying to create, what pathway am I trying to influence, and when is that pathway most receptive to intervention?”
That’s the EXACT framework I use.
And this is often the difference between simply taking a supplements, vs designing a supplementation protocol thats geared towards results….
Thanks for reading Oran/Biohacker…
