Think of your body like a building that’s been designed to support a specific weight load

Your metabolic infrastructure – hormones, enzymes, mitochondria, insulin sensitivity, and brain circuits – is the structural framework that’s been slowly engineered over months or years to handle your current state of mass.

The analogy I like to use is engineering based

When you rapidly strip weight off with high‑dose GLP‑1 agonists, you’re essentially removing floors from a skyscraper faster than you redesign the foundation and internal systems.

The building analogy

Let’s say the building (your body) was “engineered” for 200 lbs.
The HVAC systems, electrical load, plumbing capacity, elevator speeds – all are metaphorical stand‑ins for appetite regulation, energy expenditure, and nutrient handling calibrated around that mass.
