This is the most under-rated supplement in the biohacking game.

Your cardiologist probably hasn't even heard of it.

About two years ago, I was deep in the research, running through study after study on cardiovascular health, looking for interventions that actually moved the needle. I’m normally quite skeptical. Studies that make huge claims and hyperbole tend to be massively overhyped, and the results are usually anti-climactic once you dig into the data.

Then I found nattokinase.

And the data stopped me in my tracks.

The Study That Changed Everything for me.

Nattokinase is a fibrinolytic enzyme derived from nattō — a traditional Japanese food made from fermented soybeans. It’s been consumed for centuries, but it wasn’t until modern clinical trials that we began to understand just how powerful it is.

In a randomized controlled trial, researchers compared nattokinase head-to-head against simvastatin — one of the most widely prescribed statins in the world.

Here’s the setup:

  • 43 patients received nattokinase at 6,000 FU/day for 26 weeks

  • 38 patients received simvastatin at 20 mg/day for 26 weeks

The result?

Nattokinase was 3x more effective than simvastatin at reducing atherosclerotic plaque.

Now — to be fair — statins were more effective at lowering LDL and ApoB particles. But for actual plaque clearance? Nattokinase ruled supreme.

That alone would have been enough to get my attention. But it didn’t stop there.
