The most important skill you must learn within the realms of health optimization is deductive reasoning. It's the most powerful weapon in deciding whether or not a pharmaceutical or lifestyle intervention will or will not succeed.
Reasoning is emotionless, devoid of pain, cold and unsparing. Whether the patient is a dying child or an old man, the analysis must not change. We must learn to delete all attachment to rhetoric and focus on the cold, hard dialectical facts that lay in front of us.
Placing multiple thinking hats allows us to approach problems from different angles, but the foundation must always be logical assessment. By examining premises carefully and drawing conclusions that necessarily follow, we avoid the pitfalls of wishful thinking and emotional bias that plague health decisions.
For many, feelings take precedence over facts. This is why those online will believe something on the basis of how it makes them feel.
From a marketing standpoint, successful writing will permeate their prefrontal cortex.
